Felix had the usual bandages layering him all over. His blaze red hair whipped behind him as he ran through the forest. Behind him was a very large, very angry bear. He had the misfortune of wandering into its den. Now this was no ordinary bear. This bear was as big as a house and could easily kill Felix with one swipe, the only reason it hadn't yet was because Felix had the advantage of not needing to smash trees out of his path.
Every so often Felix would turn and fire an arrow at the beast, but it would do nothing more that swipe it away. Felix was at the end of the line as he ran into a big open meadow. The giant bear followed him and then Felix was cornered, so he pulled out his sword instead. No more running.
Felix watched the bears movements as it charged. He didn't move until the last moment, and then he ducked under the paw and slashed the bear's stomach open. Blood splattered everywhere, but the bear just got even madder. It swiped and that time Felix felt his arm tear. He gasped, but didn't stop.
Felix was kind of worried that he might end up dying here, but he couldn't back down anymore. He held his sword up as the bear charged and this time he jumped up. Felix landed on its head and then hit the neck of the bear with a powerful blow. The bear went limp and Felix fell to the ground.
Felix moved a little bit away from the bear and then sat down on the grass. He checked his arm and sighed. He reached into his pocket and then patched up the wound. He the lay back and looked at the sky. Felix heard somebody near by and looked up to see who it was.

What an amusing show! Temperance's sharp onyx eyes gleam with excitement as she watches the prince deliver the final blow to that giant beast of a bear. She lounges up in a tree, resting on a thick branch. A smirk plays on her scarred lips and she swings her legs back and forth. She had been following him through the forest, enjoying watching the prince try to escape such a ferocious beast. She would have stepped in to help, if it got that far, but she wanted to see how long the leader would last. She would not be serving as a knight under a weakling of a prince. Now she sees that all he has is some cut on his arm. She would've dealt with the bear sooner if she was in his position but he beat it none the less.
The ex-rouge turned knight decides to make herself known to Prince Felix, jumping down from her tree with stylish ease and grace. Every step she took she was confident, arrogant even. She swaggers over to him with a smile full of aplomb. He looks up at her and she takes that as her cue to give a tiny dip of her head, "Greetings, your majesty." She says in her deep yet feminine voice. Her long ebony hair, matching her striking eyes, goes down to the small of her back. She is wearing a tight kimono-style tunic and simple black shorts. His Majesty was probably not used to seeing women in such little clothing, considering he is usually around heavily dressed court ladies. Temperance was different. She didn't care what anybody saw her in [unless if she was naked, considering she has a strong phobia], and rank didn't matter to her. She's a woman of informal mystery, surrounded by a shroud of arrogant humor.

Felix heard a voice soon and he instantly bolted upright. He smiled as he realized that it was somebody from his kingdom, which hopefully meant he didn't have to worry about them attacking him. Felix looked at the person and saw that it was a lady, but not the kind of "lady" he was used to. He had seen people dress like this before so he wasn't too phased by it.
Felix bowed to her in a gesture of respect. "No need for titles, please, call me Felix." He said with a wide smile. Felix always tried to be as nice as he could to the people he was going to be ruling. He didn't want to end up being hated and seen as a tyrant. Felix hated the idea of that.
"So how long have you been in the area?" He asked her. Felix was wondering if she had been around long enough to help him and just hadn't, or if she had just gotten here and had seen him and come to chat, either way it didn't matter to Him.

A humorous smirk makes her intimidating features youthful as she replies, "Such a gracious prince to allow me to speak so formally." Her tone is sarcastic. She unbuckles her belt and places it down next to her as she sits in front of him. Her sword, sheathed, is long and curved. Not the traditional sword of a knight. Of course, she wasn't traditional. She sits criss-cross and smiles hugely, showing pearly whites. Peculiar for their day and age. She looked friendly enough and she would never attack the Prince of Fellsmarch. She was trained to protect him, others of the Royal blood line, and the citizens of Fellsmarch kingdom. "Ah, so you want to know if I could have helped you or not...well, Felix, I will not lie to you. I was watching you fight that bear. Good job, by the way. At least my ruler isn't a complete weakling. If you were..." Her eyes sharpen with almost maniacal amusement, "we would have quite the problem on our hands. Name's Temperance, technically Knight Temperance Baron, or Knight Baron, whatever they call us these days." She shrugs as if it couldn't possibly matter.
She looks at his wound and says simply, "It's protocol to ask a member of the Royal blood line if they're okay when they've been hurt. So...you okay, Felix?" she knew perfectly well he was okay, she just wanted to mess with him. A dangerous game, messing with a Prince.

Felix chuckled at her reply. So she was a joker? At least he thought she was funny. As she sat down Felix sat down opposite to her. He had set his weapons down the first time he sat down, but he kept an eye on his sword in case an unknown attacker came out of nowhere, or if the giant bear had a friend that might just be mad at Felix for slaying the beast.
Felix looked back at Temperance as she started talking again. He shrugged at her answer. "Well at least I know that I would have had help if I had gotten myself into too much trouble." He stated. "Well it's nice to meet you Temperance." He leaned back a little bit. So she was a knight? Well that was nice to know.
When she asked him if he was okay he decided he'd try for a more sarcastic approach. "Well I got this cut here and I'd usually have my servants patch it up, but sadly I had to do it myself. I am quite appalled really. Where are the servants when you need them?" He gasped and flopped on his back, then laughed. "Naw, just kidding. I'm fine."
