Laughing, he released her hand and stepped back. "No sir. Just Arien, ok?" Even thouh his title of knight had been well earned through years of training and work, Arien had to constantly keep the secret of his monster side to himself, making him feel like a liar and a traitor. He didn't deserve the title of sir, especially when it was spoken from such gentle and innocent lips as Camilla's. Lips that he had the strange desire to kiss.
But no, he was in too deep already with this girl. He didn't want to hurt her, or leave, but he knew that she would be safer without him in her life. Not even as a friend. He even considered telling her his secret, but quickly recoiled away from the idea, fearing rejection and hatred from this captivating woman.

Camilla held back a frown has he hand fell from the warmth of his. It naturally feel to her side and she gazed at him with bright eyes and warm smile. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw that a middle aged women had stopped and was peering from behind a one of the corners of the ally way that connected to the main street. Turning back to Arien she spoke with a sweet, young sounding voice, "Well, I guess this is fair well."
Camilla knew very well they were strangers and them being in the ally way was catching to many unwanted eyes. Camilla let her gaze fall to the ground and then she remembered her shoes and basket that held her food and many other items. Picking up her dress, just enough so it would not drag as she walked, she made her way over to were she had kicked of her shoes and the bush she had hidden her basket. Picking up her two white shoes, that were rather small because of her little feet, she checked her basket in case any thief got inside. Placing her shoes once again on the ground she began to scan her basket. A warm smile came upon her face as everything was still in it's place.

Arien nodded farewell when he noticed the woman watching. He felt guilty at having drawn unwanted attention to Camilla, who probably had enough to deal with. Although he wanted to stay and say goodbye properly, he knew it would be better if he left without a word, she probably wouldn't remember him anyway.
As soon as her back was turned to search for her shoes, Arien willed himself gone. He dissapeared in a giant plume of blue-white fire, his half phoenix form allowing him to teleport anywhere instantly. In a rush of flame, he was gone.

Camilla had slipped her shoes on and stood up dusting her dress. Pick up her basket she turned around, hoping to see Arien, but he was gone. Camilla looked down the ally way. The handsome young man was no were to be seen. She walked quickly down the ally and onto the main street. She looked around frankly and saw no sight of him or his cloak.
Camilla was very sad, she was hoping he could walk her home or something to spend a little more time with her, but she could not think on how to ask him. Camilla raised her head to see many people stared at her with emotion filled eyes. She gasped as she realized her hood was down. Tossing it up she tried to blend once again into the crowd. As she continued on with her shopping, she thought of Arien.

Arien had only teleported himself back onto the roof. He didn't know why, it was obvious that it would be safer for Camilla if he kept away from her, far away. He had planned to be long gone by now, leaving the mesmerizing girl to her shopping so he could resume his endless wandering. But he didn't, he couldn't.
He had to see her go home, to make sure that she stayed safe. He knew what some disgusting men could and would do to a girl her age, maybe even more so because of her beauty. It had happened to Arien's mother after all, if something did happen to her on her way home, he was going to be there to protect her.
His cloak was back up and covering his form and swords as he leapt agily from roof to roof, following Camilla as she wandered daintily through the streets. A single ray of light in a dark, dingy town.

Camilla's thoughts began to expand as the walked through the bust streets. What should she make for the Shaman tonight? If they were in a good mood or if they were over stressed? If that was the causes she had a long sleepless night ahead of her. Despite all of her other thoughts, Adrien took a big part of her thinking. His handsome face and his gentle slender arms wrapped around her, they all seemed so clear. Camilla released a sigh as she looked at her feet and the bottom of her dress. To no surprise they had gathered a lot of dirt from her adventure to the roof and her being so close to the ground, yet another thing to do.
Camilla stopped at a few more stalls and finally finished her shopping. As she began her way out of town, two men began to trail. One was a large heavy man who was rather tall and tan. The other men was very thin and much short then the other, but still average size. With Camilla's mind lost in thought she didn't seem to check her surroundings. When she came to a bridge that arched over a small broke, they grabbed her. The small one placed his hand around her mouth, stopping her voice from crying. The other grabbed her hands and drew them behind her back with ease. Camilla closed her eyes and used all her strength to attempt to break free, but it fail. She was to weak and small to be able to face both, even one of them.

He had followed her this far, of course he had.
Guided by instinct and the strange protectiveness he felt for this young girl, Arien had trailed this girl even against his better judgement. She was at the next stall and he could already tell that she was being followed, she had been for a while now. His heart was screaming for him to attack them right there, to kill these stupid thugs that dared to follow his precious friend. But he couldn't make a scene in such a bustling place, he had to be patient.
Finally he got his chance, on the bridge Arien struck the same time they did. Only drawing one sword, these two idiots weren't worth the bother of two. Stepping forward silently but keeping his hood up, Arien easily impaled the big man, going for the one who seemed to be the most obvious threat. Using the birthday present of knowledge he had recieved when he was ten, striking the place in the back that would not only severe the heart, but the spine as well. Instant kill. He held onto the man's shoulder as he slowly died, feeling the body shudder. Anger coursed through his as he pulled his sword out and let the body fall.
Spinning the sword around once, he turned and glared at the thin man, daring him to try anything. His voice was a fierce whisper, accompanied by a smile as he examined the man. "Now, now. Didn't you mother ever teach you that it's rude to gang up on a lady?"

Camilla could feel the force that held her hands behind her slowly begin to loosen. It was followed by the hands that covered her mouth. She slowly opened her eyes to see that no one was in front of her, ready to inflict a horrible crime upon her innocents. She slowly turned her head to see the thin man starting to back up to the side of the stone bridge. As she keep turning her eyes feel upon Arien, who seemed to appear out of no where. In his hand was a blade that was dripping with blood. As she continued to turn she found a large man on the ground with blood streaming from his open wound.
Taking a few steps back she dropped her basket and placed her hands in front of her mouth. Her eyes grew wide with the gruesome sight. Camilla then let dropped to her knees and rested on her heels of her feet. Tears began to stream down her cheeks from her pale blue eyes. She closed her eyes and released a cry of terror. She didn't like it one bit. She wished Arien had not harmed the man and taken his life. Then she opened her eyes and got to her feet. She jumped in front of the surviving attacker and spread her arms out wide, "Arien don't hurt him." Tears still streamed down her pale white face and her eyes seemed to beg all on their own.

Arien sighed in defeat, damn, he didn't get this girl sometimes. Then again, he wasn't all that surprised, he knew that he shouldn't have killed the man and the horror and shame that he was sure would feel would be kicking in as soon as the adrenaline had gone. Of course if he had been a full-blood, he could have cried and brought the man back to life. But he couldn't, because he was useless.
Maybe she would hate him now. Although Arien knew that this was for the best, his heart still cracked a tiny bit at the thought of such hate from this beautiful creature directed at him. He sighed again and knelt down beside the body of the man that he had killed. Taking his sword up, he cleanly sliced a gash in his arm, watching the blood start to flow slowly. As pain overtook him, his eyes began to burn with tears and he let them spill, watching them drop onto the dead man.
Of course being only a half-blood, his tears couldn't bring back the dead. But they could heal, he watched slowly as the large wound in the man's back dissapeared, as did the blood surrounding him until it just looked like he was asleep. There, the freak's secret was out now. A half-blood with retarded powers, if she didn't hate him before, she sure as hell would now.
Pressing a hand to his bleeding wound, he sheathed his sword then wiped the last tear away with the back of his hand, staring silently at Camilla and waiting for her rejection.

Along with Camilla, the slender man behind her stood with wide eyes. He understood this was his time to run and he did just that. He seemed to care little about his friends life, and only concerned himself with his own. Meanwhile, Camilla remain silent, overwhelmed by shock.
Slowly, she drew close to the dead man and placed her hand gently on the location were the stab wound once rested. Their was nothing, he looked like he was alive. With a shacking hand she drew it to his neck and pressed her hand on the side of his neck. Nothing. Their was no pulse of life in the man. He was still dead, but he seemed perfectly fine.
Camilla turned her gaze to Arien and slide on her knees tell she was in front of him. She pulled up her white dress to her mouth and put it between her white teeth. Camilla pulled a large piece of her dress off and made sure it was clean, not covered in dirt. Camilla drew her long hair to one side of her shoulder and made sure it would not get in her face. With soft gentle hands she grabbed his arm and bent her head down to lick the blood from his arm.

Arien watched with fearful eyes as she examined the man. He was dead, Arien was sure of that. And yet this heart was still in his mouth as she checked for a pulse. Of course there wasn't one there.
She moved to him next and Arien froze in shock as she tore her dress and started to clean his wound. A soft hiss escaped his clenched teeth as the cut burned. An unfortunate part of his powers was the inability to be able to heal himself. A real bummer.
He couldn't take his eyes of Camilla before him, she hadn't run from him, she was stil here. Why? Wasn't she scared of him? He had never had to deal with this before. Most of the time people either ran screaming when he showed his powers, or they tried to kill him. This, this was new. Arien was pretty much speachless.
"Camilla...." He breathed out her name softly, disbelieving. Unable to say anything else.

Camilla said nothing and continued to lick the wound he had in flicked on himself to please Camilla's weak heart. She understood if he was upset with her. She had asked for the life of her attacker, who could have taken her life, to be unharmed. The fact that they had not really hurt her made her believe they should have gotten of just as easy, even if they did hurt her she would have felt the same. Camilla was against violence in every way, nothing was going to change her mind on the subject.
Camilla raised her head from his arm, her soft pink lips stained with a little blood. Taking the slip of her dress she had torn from her dress, she started to wrap it gentle around his arm. She did her best to make sure it was painless and also to make sure it was tight and would stop the bleeding in a matter of seconds.
Once she was finished she sat back on her heels of her feet and started at the bridge's floor. She said nothing, for she was thinking what words to say. She was still very much dazed from what she had just witnessed and could not muster up words to speak. Finally, she found her words, but keep her gaze down, "I am sorry Arien. You should have not concerned yourself with me. I am nothing but trouble you see. I am too sweet some say. I wish for the world to be at peace with it's children. I want everyone to live side by side sharing joyful smiles." Camilla shifted her gaze to the covered cut on his arm. Gentle placing her and on it, not applying any force she spoke with a censer and begging voice, "Please don't worry about me any more. I don't want to trouble you with my fault of a body and personality."

Arien had braced himself to hear many things from Camilla, but an apology was not one of them. Rage, betrayal, sadness, fear. All these emotions he could deal with, he had faced them in enough people. Always moving, never able to stay in the same place for long, and always apologising to others. Never once had someone apologised to him, until now.
Something in her voice, her words, her actions, sparked something inside Arien. Such a peaceful soul, with such a dream. A beautiful dream filled with hope, though perhaps it was hopeless in itself to think that such a world would ever be possible. Her soul was that of pure innocence and purity, completely untouched by the darkness in the world.
Leaning forward, overcome with emotions, Arien's hand gently cupped her chin again. Softly, slowly, he brought her face up to his and gently kissed her. Quick, but far from empty. He could taste the last of his blood on her lips and feel her sweet breath, her delicious scent swirling around him. Breaking away quickly once he realised what he had done, Arien shuffled back from her. He had way overstepped his boundaries now, there weren't enough apologetic words to make up for what he just did.

Camilla had expected to hear words of reassurance, but a kiss was far from her thoughts. She felt, once again, his slender warm hand upon her chin. It gentle brought her head close to his and that's when her mind started to swirl. What was he doing?
Camilla's eyes shoot opened and her pale blue eyes became filled with confusion. The warms of his soft lips was the only thing that made everything clear. Following was an overwhelming scent, it was strong and very hypnotizing. Arien, a man she had just meet today, had stolen her first kiss.
She watch him stumble back and she, herself, fell to the side. She put her arm out and braced herself off the ground. Her feet were spread out of the side in a elegant, lady like, way. This caused the bottom of her dress to fall further up her leg, past her knees. She gentle rested her middle finger tip on her lips. Her shocked pale blue gaze did not leave Arien's face. Camilla could not find words to speak, it felt as the kiss itself was blocking everything from leaving her mouth.

Arien groaned and put his head in his hands, there was no way they'd ever be friends now. It was almost as if he couldn't control his own actions, his body had just moved on its own, but he had let it. Ah, he was so stupid.
It was probably her first kiss too, he felt horrible. To have stolen away something so precious so carelessly, He had done something terrible to this girl that he had only just met. She would hate him, she should hate him. Arien was hating himself at that moment.
Not able to look at Camilla, he let his hands muffle his words. "Oh gods. Camilla I,...I am so sorry."
