High above all else, high enough that if she fell she might just die was Sage Ender. She was a Shaman, although not many people knew about her. Many who used to know her probably thought she was dead, or had disappeared. Today she was disappearing, but only for a while.
Sage was sitting at the very peak of the mountain. The air was thin and she had to struggle to get enough breath, but she didn't move. It was peaceful. There was not a single sound to be heard. Even the birds didn't dare to fly this high. She didn't care anymore.
She was alone. She had been fine with being alone not long ago, but then Arien came along and changed that. She had liked him, he had been the one person who had ever been nice to her, but then he disappeared so now she was on her own again and with even more difficulties than before.
Sage wished that it would all end. That she wouldn't have to deal with people anymore. She wanted to never go back to any of the towns or back to the shamans or any of that. She might do it, just stay in the wilderness. But of course she couldn't, she would surely die.
Sage pulled her knees up to her chest. She wished she had never met Arien. It as a terrible thing to think, but she had been much happier before that. She also wished that he was still around for her to talk to.
Sage sighed. She should probably get to a lower altitude before she passed out because of lack of air. She slipped over the edge of the cliff and started scaling her way down. She was nimble and it was very easy for her to do so.
Sage felt her feet touch a ledge and she let go of the cliff. The rest of the way down was just a steep walk. Sage knew she had left her spear around here somewhere so she started to look around for it, but no matter how hard she look she couldn't find it. Had somebody taken it?

[... :3]
In the end there was honestly no choice it seemed. The words were written on the page as clear as a cloudless sky. What choice did Adam have? There was none, plain and simple, after his mistake, he would have to leave until the news died down, he would be unable to show his face, the knights would now recognize him too well. His wound of which had hardly healed had prevented him from taking the much quicker mountain path, but to instead go around. Adam still felt soar from the wound, after a knight's sword had connect with his stomach area, he had been more moody. He even knew that he was lucky to still be alive, well he was here and had nothing, no family that was here, nothing, he even had to leave what he thought of a kings ransom.
Adam had gathered some of the money from his storage, but he didn't have that much. As he walked the bush around him had closed in and soon enough he was stumbling over tree roots, but he had made it out to find Sage's staff. He had thought that someone had just misplaced it by accident until he heard movement and had went down into the bush, pulling the hood of his cloak up. The first thing he thought was the knights and he didn't know if the word had spread this far. He peaked over the rock he was also behind to see the girl. There was something about her that seemed similar, but yet she seemed completely different, maybe he was mistaken her for someone he had stolen from, it didn't matter.
He shifted out of the bush, still holding the staff in his hand and making sure his face was hidden under the darkness of his hood. "Excuse me miss, but is this yours." Adam asked holding up the staff.

Sage was just about to leave when the guy emerged from the bush. She screamed and scrambled backwards, but of course she couldn't just be scared she had to fall as well. She tripped on a rock and fell backwards and hit her head. She gasped, but then she huddled into a ball.
This was like her go to for everything that scared her. She felt tears prick her eyes as she realized how stupid she had been to not realize the guy in the bush. Now she was in danger of being attacked! She put her hands behind her head.
Sage's head actually really hurt. She had hit it pretty hard and now it hurt. She sat there and really just expected to be attacked. She didn't really even hear what the guy had said to her, but she had seen him and that was enough to freak her out a bunch. She waited for the worst.

At first Adam was confused from the fact of no answer, then he was startled by the loud scream that the girl had done. He had nearly fell backwards from fear, but then the pain kicked in as his stomach had moved and he did feel, the somewhat shock making him groan. He rubbed his stomach then got up slowly. "What was that for? I wasn't gonna hurt ya and then ya just scream at me. Just wanted to return that something that maybe yours." Adam growled, soon putting the staff down on the rock . Do I really look that scary? Have my image been posted everywhere and now they all know my face? I am I in trouble. Shit is so I am dead, I haven't healed enough and I can't fight, I can't even use my powers. Adam thought.
He gulped nervously from the fact he might been know around, he pulled his hood on tighter and tighter, trying to seem like he could disappear from the cape of the cloak. Adam chewed on his lower lip, trying to keep his eyes hidden, but if someone could notice body langue well then they would know. "If I scared you I am honestly sorry and I didn't mean to, I don't wanna hurt anybody." Adam explained. Yes it was true, he didn't want to hurt anyone, it was just how it had to go. So what had happened to Adam, he had became an orphan since the age of five and he was forced to steal for a living. His mother died giving birth to him, his father had to leave so he wouldn't kill him and now he was nothing, but a street rat.
Adam only had a dagger as an emergency weapon in case anyone attacked him, it was black, but strong.
